Ramachandrapura Mutt Details

                                                   "Om veda matha namaha"

Hello Friends I am Back with another of my travel experience. Today I will tell you how and why i went to Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt. This is No.3 in  my unforgettable experience's list.

First we will see the details>>  That was the third time i wanted to travel to my favorite destinations in Karnataka. I got ready and i also planned the details of my visit. Till then i had only heard about Sriramachandrapura mutt. Since this time i wanted to visit gokarna i also wanted to visit the mutt. because the gokarna temple is managed by this mutt only. Right then i started my journey and the first place i visited was the ramachandrapura mutt. I went there and there i got all the help i needed to settle myself.[ it was something i never expected]. Then i did all my daily pooja ritual's.[ it was the place i for the first time performed sandhyavandane ever outside of my house].

There i also offered my service's to GO-MATHA. There are a number of cows here brought from all over India. My favorite was the the bull named "SAMRAT". He was HUGE  with two big horns like elephant tusks. the whole mutt are is surrounded by forest. There is also a deer wandering and if you are lucky you will be able to see it. My breakfast and lunch was taken care by mutt itself. They offer prasadam" lunch" to all devotees and visitors who visit the mutt. The specialty of the mutt is the IDOLS OF SRI RAMA AND HIS PARIVAR worshipped in the mutt. These idols and ancient and it is said to worshipped by sage sri  varada muni and sage sri agasthya muni both VERY GREAT sages. This was handed down the generations and now is daily worshipped in the mutt as per ancient customs. On the whole the visit to this mutt brings peace and joy in all the troubled minds. Actually I wanted to gokarna first but due to cirumstances i happened to visit this mutt and i am happy that i got  a chance to visit this mutt and do seva.

How to get to the mutt>>  If you are interested in going to this mutt then i believe it better that you go by your vehicle or book a private vehicle. The journey is long and hence it better that you people book a AC vehicle itself even if the rate/kilometer works out to be more.

If you are like without a own vehicle don't worry the Karnataka government has it's bus running exclusively to this mutt. All you have to do pack your bags and go on the go to Majestic. From there go directly into the KSRTC bus stand which is just 5 min. walk. Go to the correct platform[ ask the TC to guide you] and you will find a bus sporting a board "ramachandrapura mutt". Get into it and you are on your way. This bus directly go the mutt. So all you have to do is have good night sleep till the bus reaches the mutt. The bus leaves Bangalore around 9 PM and reaches the mutt the day at around 6:30 AM or earlier. The bus halts at the mutt and stays there till same day evening and again it will leave for Bangalore. This is the round trip. So all you have to get into this bus visit the mutt and come back in the same bus to Bangalore. it is like the one day visit. The cost too will work out and it will be within your budget.

BUT.... The only disadvantage is that you can't visit the JOG falls or Sri Sridhara Ashrama which are in the neighborhood. So the KSRTC plan works out only if your intention is to visit the mutt ONLY

If you happen to miss this BUS. Do not worry Come to SHIMOGGA and from here board a bus going to "KARANAGIRI". Get down at karanagiri stop and from the mutt is around 2 kms walk.
From karanagiri --kundapura  is very near. So you can also travel to Kollur temple if you want.

The Present rate from SHIMOGGA to KARANAGIRI= Rs.45-50/-.

Friend's I have today explained to you about going to one of the Sacred Places in Karnataka.
Keep reading for more such posts.
These details are i feel is more in-depth in nature for proper guidance to visit these places and also to be sure that you do not get stranded on your journey.
Till Next time- BYE
